GDPR Part 6— Cyber crime
In a country far far away, evil has risen and the dark side is planning their next step. They are working in the shadows hidden behind your stress and information overload. They are planting seeds all around you. Soon the seeds are starting to grow, to become beautiful flowers.
As you admire the beautiful colors, the roots spreads like a disease in your organization.
From now on, you’re in the hands of blackmailers. Not like today when they crypto lock your files and you have to pay bitcoins to get the files back. This time they contact you urging you to pay them, or otherwise pay the EU fine of 4% of your global turnover.
How would you react?
The regulation is clear: You have to report if personal data is “lost”. If you break the rule you can get a fine of up to 20 M euro or 4% of your global turnover.
Cyber crime – is part 6 of “The storm is coming” GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) explained in different way. GDPR will change how we protect and handle personal data.
